File Fix is paid prepress: $25 per file. It covers bleed, resizing to your ordered dimensions, and minor prep that takes us under 15 minutes, the small stuff that would otherwise bounce your file back to you. It does not cover redrawing artwork, retyping text, or design changes. Print-ready files sail through free; File Fix is only there if you'd rather we handle it. Pro members pay nothing for it.

That's Art Services, quoted from $75. Rebuilds, vector tracing of a low-res logo, and design changes fall here. We'll look at the file and quote it before doing anything. We are still print operators, not a design studio; for a full creative build, work with a professional designer.

Your first digital proof is always free, on every order. Additional rounds are $15 each, invoiced separately by email so your order total never changes and nothing is a surprise charge. Platypus Pro members get every round free. We print the approved proof as-is, so use the rounds you need.

A membership for planners, DJs, venues, and agencies who order regularly: $199/year or $19/month. You get 10% off every order, free File Fixes and extra proof rounds, priority production with rush fees cut in half, a direct line to the shop, and consolidated billing for approved accounts. Join straight from /pro, after checkout, reply to your Stripe receipt with your order email and we'll activate your account within a few hours.

Phone calls are by request only. We're a production shop, the team is running printers, laminators, and cutters, not sitting at a phone desk. Email hello@platypusprinting.com or use the contact form and ask for a call; we'll schedule one at a time that doesn't pull a press operator off a job. It keeps production moving and turnarounds tight, which is what you're actually paying us for.

No walk-ins. We're a production facility, not a retail storefront. Local pickup is available on any order, we'll email you the moment it's ready and coordinate a pickup window. Please don't come by without a scheduled pickup; there's nobody up front to help.

Yes, for orders over $5,000 within 50 miles of 91730 (Rancho Cucamonga, CA). Site visits carry an additional site-visit fee plus a travel fee, both quoted before we book. Request one through the contact form and include the venue address and event date.

Production starts on proof approval, not at checkout. Proof approvals before 10:00 AM PT enter production the same business day. Proofs approved after 10:00 AM PT are scheduled for the next business day. Business days are Monday to Friday.

No. A rush order prioritizes your job in the production queue but is subject to shop capacity and is not a guaranteed delivery date. Shipping transit time is separate and is controlled by the carrier. If we can't hit a rush window we'll contact you before charging rush.

Enter your card at checkout. Nothing is charged until you approve your proof. We only capture payment after your approval. (You can also skip and pay by emailed link after approval.) Freight-quoted orders are trued up and billed by link after the proof.

Nationwide carrier shipping. Rigid boards (foamboard, coroplast) ship boxed. Cutouts taller than 48 inches ship in two pieces with a tab and slot join so they travel flat and arrive undamaged. Rolled vinyl, dance floor wraps, cart wraps, decals and sticker sheets ship in a tube. Unroll and flatten tube shipments 24 hours before install. Floors ship rolled in a heavy tube, should be laid flat for 24 hours before install, and are best ordered so they arrive at least 10 days before the event. Every shipped floor is insured, so report any shipping damage within 48 hours with photos of the tube and the print. Local pickup at the shop is always free, and local delivery is free within 5 miles of the shop. We do not run timed on-site event deliveries.

Print-ready PDF is preferred. Include the bleed we ask for on each product page. RGB and low-res files are flagged in our browser preflight tool before you check out, please run it. We print exactly what's on the approved proof; we don't redraw, retype, or edit your art.

No. We are print operators, not designers. Bring your own print-ready artwork or work with a professional designer first. Our preflight tool tells you if a file is technically printable; it doesn't fix layout or typography.

No. Turnaround is production time, how long we take to print, cut, laminate, and pack your order. Standard production is 3 to 5 business days (3 to 7 business days for dance floor wraps). Shipping transit time is added on top and is up to the carrier. If you have a hard in-hand date, tell us in the order notes so we can plan around transit.

Printed colors may vary slightly from your monitor. We calibrate our presses but we do not offer Pantone matching or color-managed proofs. If exact color is critical, request a paid physical proof before production.

Shop hours are Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Pacific. Orders and file uploads can be placed 24/7.

Peel-and-stick vinyl, applied to a clean dry floor from a center blue-tape mark outward, one strip at a time. Most 12×12 floors take two people about 30 to 45 minutes. Yes, export as PDF Print (not PNG or JPG). PDF Print keeps your Canva text, shapes, and built-in elements as vectors that scale sharp to any print size. Anything you uploaded to Canva (logos, photos) stays raster at its original resolution, so grab the highest-res source you can. PDF is preferred, ideally a press-quality PDF from Adobe Illustrator with fonts outlined and 0.125" bleed. We also accept native AI, EPS, SVG, PDF Print from Canva, and high-resolution TIFF/PNG/JPG at final print size. Word/PowerPoint/Google Docs/screenshots, talk to us first.
