What we collect
- Contact and order details — name, email address, phone number, company or event name, shipping address, and any notes you type into a quote, contact form, or checkout.
- Artwork files — the print files you upload for quoting, preflight, and production, along with file metadata (name, size, page dimensions).
- Order records — the products, sizes, materials, finishing, turnaround, pricing, proofs, and proof approvals tied to your order.
- Usage data — pages viewed and basic device/browser information, collected through Google Analytics 4 and Google Ads conversion tracking on our public site.
We do not collect or store your card number. Card entry and payment happen on Shopify's hosted checkout/invoice pages.
How we use it
- To quote, produce, proof, and ship your order.
- To email you order confirmations, proofs, status updates, and payment links.
- To answer contact-form messages and quote requests.
- To keep records required for accounting, tax, and dispute resolution.
- To understand which pages and ads bring people to the site, in aggregate.
Who we share it with
We use a small set of service providers, and only for the purpose listed:
- Shopify — payment authorization, capture, and invoicing.
- Supabase — database and file storage for orders, artwork, and proofs.
- Resend — transactional email delivery.
- Google Analytics 4 / Google Ads — site analytics and ad measurement.
- Shipping carriers — your name and delivery address, to deliver the order.
We do not sell or rent your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising beyond the analytics and ad measurement described above. We never license, resell, or reuse your artwork. Your files are used only to produce your job.
How long we keep it
Order records are retained for at least seven years for accounting and warranty purposes. Artwork and proof files are retained so we can run reprints and repeat orders. You can ask us to delete your artwork at any time once your order has shipped; email hello@platypusprinting.com.
Your choices and rights
California residents (and anyone else who asks) may request a copy of the personal information we hold, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, subject to records we're legally required to keep. We will not discriminate against you for making a request.
You can opt out of analytics by using your browser's Do Not Track / ad-blocking settings or Google's opt-out tools. Analytics tags only run on our production domain.
Privacy requests go to hello@platypusprinting.com. We respond within 30 days.
Security
Files and order data are stored with access controls, and artwork links we email are short-lived signed URLs. No system is perfect — if you believe your account or files were accessed improperly, email us immediately.
Children
Our services are intended for businesses and adults planning events. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
Changes
If we change this policy we'll update the date at the top of this page. Material changes affecting existing orders will be emailed to the customer of record.
