Backdrops & Signs

Step-and-Repeat Backdrops & Rigid Event Signs

Step-and-repeats and photo backdrops are our most-ordered rigid product: full-color foamboard panels tiled from 46"×94" sheets to any width you need, for premieres, galas, and brand activations. The same rigid line also covers coroplast event signage for anything outdoor, including wayfinding, valet, parking, and entry signs, where weatherproofing matters more than a premium indoor finish.

What is a backdrops & sign?

This is our rigid rectangular product line: flat printed panels that live on stakes, tabletops, walls, or frames. The board choice defines the environment: coroplast (corrugated polypropylene) is impervious to rain and humidity, foamboard is lighter and prints with a more premium finish.

For event producers this solves the outdoor-signage problem cheaply (print Tuesday, stake Friday, pull Sunday) and the indoor backdrop problem cleanly (single-piece premium panels or tiled walls of any width).

Common event use cases

Step-and-repeats and photo backdrops

Foamboard step-and-repeats up to 94" tall, tiled to any width. This is the classic press-wall for premieres, galas, and brand activations. An 8 ft step-and-repeat is typically 96×94" as a single panel.

Valet, parking, and entry wayfinding

Coroplast signs on H-stakes direct traffic from the street to the venue with color-coded stops at every decision point.

Outdoor event signage

Weddings, festivals, farmers markets. Coroplast welcome signs, vendor booth markers, restrooms-this-way.

Materials

Coroplast (4mm standard, 6mm heavy-duty) is our default for outdoor and multi-event reuse: light, cheap, weatherproof, and easy to stake. Foamboard (3/16" or 1/2") steps in for indoor backdrops and step-and-repeats where a premium look on camera matters more than weather resistance. Everything is printed directly on the board with UV-cured ink on our flatbed printer.

  • 4mm Coroplast (standard)
  • 6mm Coroplast (heavy-duty)
  • 3/16" Foamboard (indoor, lightweight)
  • 1/2" Foamboard (indoor, extra rigid)

Sizes

We print backdrops and signs from 6"×6" up to 94" tall, with no fixed width limit. Oversized walls of any width are tiled from 46"×94" sheets. Standard lawn-sign size is 24"×18" landscape; 18"×24" portrait reads best at eye level for valet and entry. Need it seamless larger than 48×96"? We can print up to 60×120" on a single sheet. Standard range: 6×6" to 10000×94". Larger sizes seamed on request.

Finishing options

Add grommets (top 2 corners or all 4) for signs you'll zip-tie or rope onto a fence or frame. Add H-stakes (metal wire stakes that slide into the flutes) for lawn signs on coroplast. The flutes must run vertically for H-stakes to grip, so selecting H-stakes locks sign orientation. Optional matte or gloss lamination on either substrate. Matte or gloss lamination is available as a priced add-on; the configurator shows the exact amount.

  • Cut shape: Rectangle

  • Grommets, all 4 corners (per piece)
  • H-stakes for lawn (coroplast only, per piece)

Frequently asked questions

Coroplast or foamboard for a step-and-repeat?+

For an indoor premiere or gala where the camera is close, foamboard (usually 1/2") gives the cleaner finish. For anything outdoor, multi-day, or that will be re-used across events, coroplast is the right pick. Both tile the same way for oversized walls.

Can you print oversized backdrop walls?+

Yes. This is one of our specialties. Sheets max out at 46"×94", so height is capped at 94", but width is unlimited via tiling. The configurator draws you an exact panel diagram before checkout (e.g. a 15-foot wall at 94" tall is 4 panels). Panels install edge-to-edge on site with visible seams between sheets.

How long will coroplast signs last outside?+

Print colors on our UV-cured inks hold up for 1 to 2 years of continuous outdoor exposure. The coroplast substrate itself is essentially weatherproof. Signs fail from UV fade or physical damage long before the plastic gives out.

Do H-stakes come with the signs?+

H-stakes are a per-piece add-on and are only available with coroplast (they slide into the flutes). The flutes must run vertically, which is our default for lawn-sign orientation.

Can these be printed double-sided?+

Yes, double-sided printing is available on request. Contact us for a custom quote if you need identical or different artwork on both faces.

What's the difference between 4mm and 6mm coroplast?+

4mm is our standard, roughly the thickness of a paperback book, and works for most short-term event signs. 6mm is noticeably stiffer, more wind-resistant, and holds up to being packed and re-used across multiple events.

Need it seamless larger than 48×96"?+

Yes. We can print up to 60×120" on a single sheet for pieces that need to be seamless. That's outside the standard configurator range, so contact us for a custom quote.
